Cherry Stars are a hybrid version of a Marans and will lay a darker brown egg.
 
They come in shades of chesnut and brown and sometime shave black accents on the tail.  They have lightly feathered legs, a throwback to their French Wheaten Marans ancestors.
 
Usually calm and friendly and make great pets.
